I See it mentioned in November issue of Volksworld, (page 14)

Basicly there trying to get as many VW clubs to organize (sp) a charity cruise on Sunday 18th January in all parts of the country,

Im jus about to pop round to see Mr Russ74ghia to see if we can sort one out down here in Kent.

get involved peeps, raise some ££££ and have some fun

I am organising one in Wiltshire area

just trying to confirm the start location at the moment...I have already got some places to donate prizes for the day, and hopefully it will be a fab day out and we will raise loads of pennies

once its sorted I will be contacting everyone and everywhere to advertise it

hoping to get a nice big turn out

Pyro will be gutted he missed out on this one

We did one in Bristol around New Year this year, it was bloody cold but a good way to spend a Sunday. Next time i'd swerve the city centre route and get some clearer roads on the route so everyone doesn't get split up so much.

i am sure we can sort something out in southend.

what sort of fundraising are people doing?

not sure i could persuade the council to let us park for free on the seafront to see if we can collect some cash from passers by. i will see if Brett has any friends at the council

Edit: just been to the website and i have no idea what a scatter hunt is.

If you want to organise one you email them through the koolest krooze site and download the pack that tells you all you need to know

basically for a scatter hunt you need to pick like 10 places near your start point and go and write questions about each place (easy/funny if you can)

then you get everyone to meet at your start point and give them there questions and all the locations

then everyone goes off to whichever locations they like in whichever order they like and answer the questions (or at least some of them - they dont have to go to all of them )

then everyone meets at the finish point (a pub ideally

)
give out prizes for right answers/furthest travelled etc etc etc

hope that explains it a bit

it is all explained in the pack off the site

oh and you raise the money by getting everyone that takes part to pay

the brads team have said £20 per car as a minimum
but people could get themselves sponsored for taking part and try to raise a bit more that way

I am also considering a bit of fancy dress at mine...........any excuse eh

just thoought - I know it sounds like a treasure hunt......but its not....on a treasure hunt people take a certain route and have to visit each place in turn......but that restricts your numbers as you are only allowed like 12 cars on atreasure hunt

so a scatter hunt unsures people are going to different places at different times rather than bunching up and causing chaos in one place

The East Midlands cruise is sorted, Paul Utting & I tested it at the weekend & it works.

Prizes are starting to come in thick and fast, we've got MOT vouchers, money off servicing and it looks like this morning I've organised a years worth of sausages!
It has to be worth entering for that prize alone.

Almost everything you need to know is either on the website or can be downloaded from it, there's a sponsor form on there for you to download as well.
