Clutch Spigot bearing??

Hi, I have dropped the engine out of my 1979 2ltr camper to replace the clutch. On removal of the plate and exposure of the fly wheel I have discovered that the bearing that sits in the centre of the fly wheel has disinterated!! I am no expert and beleve that this is a spigot bearing although it seems to be termed as a 'Pilot Bearing' in the Bently book. I have removed the five bolts and relesed the fly wheel. I have got a new Spigot bearing, but how the hell do you fit the thing!! It seems to be like the hole that shaft from the gearbox sits in, in the centre of the fly wheel is smaller than the new bearing ring I have. Any help greatly receved. ;) :bandit:
