Some weeks theres nothing in Tesco and others theres whole boxes of both matchbox and hotwheels though i never seem to find anything i want.

It seems I have also started on Matchbox

The Hot Wheels 55 Chevy Gasser is a great casting, I think the current pink/purple version is the best of the lot outside of Supers, Premiums etc. There are a lot of different ones to find!

That Matchbox Ranchero came with two different types of wheels in white:

Sadly only Tesco have the contract to sell Matchbox in the UK (although Entertainer have some 5 packs), and it seems they've now discontinued selling them, as well as Hot Wheels. No idea what the future holds, not a great situation especially as Matchbox was a British company originally and for many decades.
I have emailed Mattel, who have "passed it on to the relevant department"...

I was chatting to the manager of Entertainer last week, and he may have mentioned when their next delivery was due, and also that there's a collector going in there every time they get new cases and spending £130 on Hot Wheels - no wonder I sometimes struggle to find new stuff!
Today however, I timed my visit perfectly so got two sealed H cases straight off the truck, the guy behind the till was not happy as he clearly wanted first dibs!

Starting with a couple of moderns - I normally grab stuff like this and punt it on for a small profit

Slim pickings for me still. Very few of my locals have any new stock, but I did pick up a couple recently.
The super pursuit mode Kitt is great. My kids didn't get it, but the wife did.
The bond Aston is branded 60 years of bond, so hopefully there will be others.

Re-tooled casting from 1997 according to Wiki. When you say gold ones do you mean the mail-in Pass N Gasser?
