Anyone have any experiance or guesses as to how much i can expect to pay for a profesional LHD to RHD conversion on a 1960 ish T1 Karman cab.
Just to see if its worth considering?

if you are going to pay someone to do it, then IMHO it's not worth doing, sell what you have and buy a RHD cab
there's a fair bit of work in the swap over
moving the fuse box, welding and cutting of the dash
the pedal cluster and cables etc
moving the steering box and stops
a LOT of work

Agree with the above

But as someone who prefers LHD over RHD, I question your need to change.

Give it a go for a while - I bet you will find it acceptable.

Also I think that as they were designed LHD and so it all works much better

Thanks for the advice guys, I lived with a LHD golf for a while and found it a bit of a bore. This will be a daily driver and will be fast, so will be doing plenty of overtaking!

I have seen a couple of lovely LHD cars and i know its sacralage to cut up an original car but if it was a £500 quid job then i would consider it. I'm thinking its better to wait for a good RHD car to turn up.
