dropped spindle on 1971 beetle front passenger side touches wheel, don’t really want to use a wheel spacer more than 10mm (which wouldn’t change the problem). Should note that the passenger side is lower than the drivers side. Anyone know how to change the height of the bottom of the spindle? Pictures of both sides attached

What size are the wheels ?
If you play with the camber adjuster, does that affect the clearance ? (if the adjuster is turned too far, it can start to change the castor angle too, which will bring the wheel closer to the ball joint).
BTW, I'd replace the missing grease nipples on the beam, either with new nipples or plugs, just to keep water out.

It’s the trailing arm that’s rubbing on the wheel. This can be a problem depending on the offset of wheels with dropped spindles. You can fit spacers or with larger diameter wheels say 16”. I’d check the ball joint for wear first though
