Hello

My van and evrything seems to be running fine apart from when it's cold. I have a 71 bay running a 1694 with twin kadron 40's.

It doesn't fire up first turn of the key. And when it does there is a clicking noise coming from the engine, not sure what part yet as I need to investigate further.

Just though I would post up before I dive in.

Cheers

1679's have a bad reputation for warped cylinders, which can lead to low compression and broken piston rings. I'd do a compression check to make sure this hasn't happened to you before you go further.

Then just go over the engine, check all the adjustments, including valve clearances, points, timing. Make sure they're all correct.

Check for loose tin rubbing the pulley, the fan catching in the fan shroud, and rockers all shimmed up correctly (no broken clips or thrust washers on the rocker shafts)

Dave.
