Well today could have been the best day ever, instead, we have Luca Badoer at the back of the grid :(

Predictions for the race?

Title should say Valencia obviously! If anyone can change it...

I think dogfood is right, Hamilton will start hard, KERS will seem he easily into the first corner sitting pretty, but i think as the race progresses he will destroy his tyres, hes not kind to tyres on a good day, never mind with 50 degree track temps.

My predictions-

1 Barrichello
2 Vetel
3 Hamilton
4 Button
5 Kovalinen

With a wild card of Alonso sneaking into the top 5 with a little luck and a fair wind.

Hamilton is nearly 10kg lighter than Button, so I feel it is going to come down to how much of an advantage the cheat button is going to give him. The sooner they ditch KERS the better IMHO.
I thought you were calling Button a cheat then...then i figured you are referring to the KERS button. ha.

Race should be interesting i think, hamilton will kill his rear tyres. :)

Editted as i realised you are referring to fuel weights. doh.

I think both of the Mclarens and the Red Bulls will suffer lateral graining issues. I am hopeful it will come to a direct fight between Button and Barrichello. Both the Brawns should be able to go longer than any of the cars in front of them and if past form is anything to go by, they will use their tyres better in these temperatures.

1. Hamilton McLaren-Mercedes 653.0
2. Kovalainen McLaren-Mercedes 655.0
3. Barrichello Brawn-Mercedes 662.5
4. Vettel Red Bull-Renault 654.0
5. Button Brawn-Mercedes 661.5
6. Raikkonen Ferrari 661.5
7. Rosberg Williams-Toyota 665.0
8. Alonso Renault 656.5
9. Webber Red Bull-Renault 664.5
10. Kubica BMW-Sauber 657.5
11. Heidfeld BMW-Sauber 677.0
12. Sutil Force India-Mercedes 672.5
13. Glock Toyota 694.7
14. Grosjean Renault 677.7
15. Buemi Toro Rosso-Ferrari 688.5
16. Fisichella Force India-Mercedes 692.5
17. Nakajima Williams-Toyota 702.0
18. Trulli Toyota 707.3
19. Alguersuari Toro Rosso-Ferrari 678.5
20. Badoer Ferrari 690.5

Ok, I can understand that Hamilton is light and why, but I 'm trying to get my head round Trulli at 707kgs....?

"Our car is shite on street circuits and it's very difficult to overtake... any ideas, lads?"

"Why don't we brim the tank and see if we can be lapped by the first pit stop - that'll be a laugh...."

Trying to one stop?

I think the most interesting fuel results is Kovalainin really keeping Hamilton honest with more fuel on board than him, and Rosberg again qualifying well, but also do so whilst running pretty heavy.

Mclaren are using two different chassis at Valencia, one short wheel base and one long wheel base. IIRC Hamilton has the short one, it might prove that Kovalainen has the better package. Also Hamilton is on a permanent contract, whilst Kovalainen has been told to hurry up or your out, it appears that he might have done that.

Oh and I knew it would be happening, but I am gutted about the Ferrari/Alonso deal. I'm going to find it really difficult to support him, I can't stand him!

And I will be sad about Raikkonen's probable departure :( he could have done so much more in F1 if he wasnt such a lazy fucker

Got to agree with you on this, on all counts, never have been a fan of Alonso & he's going to be unbearable driving a Ferrari, however I have my reservations as to whether he'll get the best from the car anyway.

Raikkonen hasn't pulled his thumb out of his arse all year ;) Just seems a bit bored of it all maybe?

Button got seriously squeezed by Vettel off the start, damn shame. Can't see it being that exciting a race, overtaking isn't one of this tracks strong points
Yes but they are good at lining the pockets of the F1 management, and building huge complexes so VIPs can get wanked off:eek: its not been about the track for years.....its the biggest problem in F1 today:(
