as requested the type 3 models.............

First up Notchback (early model)......

this ones a '62,

Notchbacks and Squarebacks first came out in late '61
they pretty much stayed the same right up to '70 when they had a "face lift" Production finished in '73




Notchback (mine)(late model).....




Squareback (early)........




Late......




Fastback (early) theses came out in '65

(this ones for sale)

Ahhhhh, that makes a bit more sense, thanks lovely :) I am liking that early squareback very much indeedy;)

and they are VERY nice to drive too...........go on you know you want to:lol:
yep I second that, bought my first Type 3 in 1994, had a few Bugs before that, never driven another Bug since (except for the one I bought last week :eek: :lol:)

I think there was an early squareback on display in the big tent at VW Action, I'm crap with cars though so it might not have been the same thing?? Whatever it was, it was very..very cool.

No problem Shmoo :) There was indeed an early Square in the tent at Action twas part of the "back to '89 display".......
