Fuel prices. How high before you stop driving?

It won't.

Yes, it's dear, but it's still cheaper than beer and spirits. An hour in the pub buying just your own drinks probably costs £15(ish). That, currently, gets enough fuel to get me to the coast, North Wales, the Lakes, the Peak District, etc.

Home heating oil is my pet peeve, re "What do you normally pay?". In England (for 500L):

April 2021: £215
Sept 2021: £250
Nov 2021: £300
Jan 2022: £310
March 2022: £336
May 2022: £500
Today: £548.05

It's been over £600 in the past couple of months. It's a urine extraction. ~250% increase in 14 months.... More than doubled since the start of autumn. Dreading this winter.

May 2020 we were paying £150 :mad::cry:
I think we paid nearly a grand the last time we topped up the tank.
I used to think €350 was expensive!

Want to keep filling up costs down? Buy smaller tanks.

I put diesel in the Land-Rover on the 29th April. When the pump cut out at £99 I’d got a bit over 55 litres. Today I filled up at the same place and the £99 only got me 50 litres.
Were you not tempted to put the pump back, give the cashier the nod and fill it up, just to see how much it would cost to fill? You could use it to negotiate a pay rise.😘😁 Solidarity brother.👍

I remember filling a wagon and the fuel cut off clicked. You know how you try and squeeze an extra couple of litres in......it took another 65 litres.🤪 I'm glad I don't have that bill.
