Not car related!

We've decided to construct an outdoor space for socialising. We probably should have started it a year ago going by how slowly things are opening up in Ireland. We had a small playhouse in the corner of the space that was sitting on large sandstone slabs. The first job was to take it apart and reassemble it in the vegetable patch. I then moved the slabs the old fashioned way - manoeuvring them onto round posts and rolling them out of the way. We then dug holes for the posts and got them into place which was finished on Saturday. Sunday was spent trying to get the floor frame levelled and then realising that we would have to dig down at the back end and fill up at front. Hard work. Hopefully going to be worth it...!

Nice, looks like it'll be a great space, I expect those posts'll have your neighbours flapping a bit though! :p

Garden structures seem to be all the rage at the moment, i've had to buy some covered seating for my cafe and getting hold of them and/or materials has proven difficult! my garden at home's in desperate need of some landscaping so we'll hopefully be doing something similar over the next couple of months.

I had great difficulty getting 10ft posts! The timber merchants near me couldn't get them. The price of timber has rocketed. They reckon that the sawmills can't keep up with demand as everyone seems to be carrying out garden improvements...

Yep, I had a summerhouse type thing delivered a few months back, put a decent concrete base down and put it together properly but a few months later it's expanding and moving like crazy due to the timber being so green when it was put together, presumably because the things are selling so quickly that the wood just hasn't had time to dry out! :(
