Right so brought a gearbox off here under the impression that it was a AO code 1500/1600 box, arrived today and after some wet and dry rubbing that O looks mysteriously like a B. Before I take this any further with the seller, can anyone tell me if any of the other numbers on the box can be used as identification?

This is the gearbox number.. But it's not one I'm familiar with...


Everything else is casting part numbers

it will be an early 'box, they had no letter prefix, best logicial guess is 12/1300, if its from a bug
ah shit. Well as I said was sold to me as a AO 1500/1600 :mad: as the thread 42 posted sugests, ill take out the plug and count the teeth to be sure.
