Our beloved Type 2 was innocently involved in a head on collision with an imbecile driving a Subaru at the weekend.

We need a quote from a reputable VW specialist for the repair, it's a big job!!

The van is in Wisbeach at the moment, awaiting an insurance inspection.

If it's not repairable - I hate to say this - then we would like a quote for scrap value.

The camper is in great condition, apart from the nasty head injury courtesy of the nice young man driving the Subaru.

Thanks,

Jaffadub

Thanks guys, I really hope our camper is fixable, and back on the road in the not-to-distant future. Check out the photos on members rides if you're interested.

There are some pics on memebers rides, but yesterday the van was written off - category B - so that is the end of the road for our Jaffa. Thnaks for your support guys, we appreciate it x x x
Buy it back of insurance company (salvage value will probably be nil) so you probably wont even have to pay for it. Get your insurance pay out and you will most likely get it fixed somewhere, get some pics up of damage to let some guys give rough cost.
Can't fix a CatB though can you?

If it's in a solid enough condition you could probably put it up for breaqking and make a fair bit from that. I mean intact panels engine etc.

Hope the insurance pays the right amount.

Yeah just had a quick look on GOOGLE, that is a bummer i didn't know you couldn't repair a cat B.
As above hope you get a good price of insurers.
