They've always worked for me.
Halford's Pro tools come with a lifetime garantee. In the times that I've had any trouble with any (including tool boxes) they have swapped for a new one-no questions asked. I rate the tools and am no expert but have used plenty Snap on stuff and to my hand, there's nothing in it.

Try to get yourself a Trade Card first-piece of piss and will save you tons.
I'll get in before the snap on snobs tell you they are shite:D

for anything other than the proffessional mechanic, they are excellent quality and i highly recommend them. I'm a heavy user and not a week goes by when i dont use them. Never had any problems apart from the screwdriver bits being shearing and breaking a breaker bar (whilst jumping up and down on a scaffold bar over the end of it:lol:) but they have been replaced without questions.

Go for it, you wont be dissapointed. Try and get the ratchet spanners too, they are very very handy!
the halfords sets are great, like said lifetime warrenty, and i thionk the 150 piece kit is still £99, well worth it:)
I've got a fair bit and its all good stuff, never had any problems with it.
As Shane r says, get a Trade Card and save loads :)

Well Done for providing another Racer to be too :)

But not the flexi ones! Almost useless. Stubby spanners also V useful for VWs
Not 'on the tools' at work anymore, but when I was it was Snap-On, mainly because they were thin and strong (often aint a lot of room inside an aircraft for engineers to wield a spanner), but for home use I rate Halfords Pro stuff very highly, better than Britool I would say.

and as said above, if you can get a Trade Card even beter value.
I have a Halfords Pro ½" square drive socket set and it is first rate, the rachet has taken some serious abuse and is still in excellent condition.
how do i go about getting a trade card ? this is leaving myself wide open to abuse lol:lol:
I've had a 150 piece set now for years. It's had a lot of use and is still in great condition. Quality pieces of kit.

Currently looking to buy their rachet ring spanners, anyone tried them?

i got my card via a vauxhall car forum it cost me £15 to join and i saved more than that the first time i went to the shop
I managed to get my 120pc (something around that) halfords pro kit and i blagged some free allen keys and they messed up the discounts and i managed to get it for like £55 :)

here's the thread that inspired em to go get some...

I ithnk the best part is that if anything does break (not that i can imagine it doing because it feels like really quality kit and i've not had a scratch on 'em since i bought them last summer) then you can just take it to them and they'll replace it, without a receipt aswell! :)
