My T25 was in a wooden shed/barn on a farm for 6 years, has now been on the road the same amount of time. If they're keep dry it's OK but be prepared to re-build seized brakes etc, sometimes if it's been stored in the damp the underneath can be in terrible condition.
Not a barn find but someones garage

Built in the early 70's, spent at least ten years in spain and the same amount again in my mates dads garage.

I restored it,re-sprayed it, etc, but if I had it now I would have put it back to full 70's livery. It had moonscape on the front, comets down each side, stars along the side of the bodyan eagle on the back, 6ft long ariel, the works.

I bumped into three ford anglias in a barn in Northumberland about 18 year ago. The guy said make an offer and take them away (we were shooting with the land owner)....but I was splitting up with someone at the time and cash was short so I just left them. I later found out from my dad that he scrapped them that summer when he wanted to let the barn out:(.
They weren't actually that rotten.

My Zwitter had been stored in a barn for 30 years in Sweden until It came into my ownership.

These pics are from when I bought it.

It now looks like this..

Still wears the same paint - took 5 days of polishing to get that shine!

i found a morris super 8 in a barn was soild with a brand new engine - just wasnt my thing so i left it there
I used to have a job that involved meeting farmers and came across some barn finds. Some bizzarre, like two aeroplanes of unimaginable description. There is a Volvo P1800 (The Saints car) in a barn 2 miles from me and a Beetle left outside a barn with no wings, in the village itself.

I came across this a few years back tucked away in a barn that could just be seen from the road, the farm was up for sale, and i contacted the estate agent asking who the seller was, as the place was empty.

It turned out the car belonged to the late owners' nephew, and he was contacted on my behalf and we met up to discuss a price......negotiations broke down, and he towed it to his house, where it sat outside for another 2 years, until i knocked again, and rekindled my love for the old girl...........Bob was happy it was coming to a good home, and he just let me take it, saying the future costs would be enough of a burden!

so this is the day i was reintroduced......and that's Bob:)

and until i get my garage floor in, and get some time, here she is now............another barn find for someone else in a few years:lol:

they are still out there.........in fact the other one in the pic was rescued from a 13 year slumber.....and still has the dust to prove it.

thats one stunning motor!!!!

ive always got my eyes peeled for little jems hidden in barns.
my mate stumbled across a bay in an old abandoned council garage a few years back.
mentioned it to a few of the locals...............and they think that the chap that owned it had passed away,
so he dragged it home and applied for the logbook.
jammy sod!

I know of a 1974 one-owner 1300 Beetle which lives in a barn in Derbyshire. It is in original condition with 42k miles on the clock. The owner isn't yet ready for the emotional upheaval of selling, but I have 1st refusal if he does. It simply needs to be recommissioned.
I know of a 1303 in a town near Cardiff, its been parked outside but because its under a tree, all the sap from over the years has protected it from the rot! Under the sap its a minter.

Rang the owner, she wants a grand for it!!!!!!!

End of negotiations!
