!!!!! HELP PLEASE - ENGINE QUESTION !!

hi guys - i am doing a complete body off resto on my 1968 using darren at DC Customs and have not got to the difficult point of looking at engines... after a great conversation with laurie pettit (very helpful!) i just want to sanitise my potential choice with laurie - a 1952cc fully kitted out with high end parts... coming in at around £3000-£3500. anyone know anything about importing from the US???????? or any other choices in the UK apart from JH engines???? chrrrssssssss:elvis:

Or import from the States . . . then put up a 'moany' thread when your engine blows up and you're 3,000 miles from the seller

thanks for the reply!!! didnt want to start the whole phoning a million people thing and also i really like the idea of using laurie but if there is anyone else you would recommend who is as good please let me know - point taken on the US import thing!!

yeh, darren's been really good to be fair to him and very patient as i am a nighmare to deal with..... i get the body and floorpan on thursday this week - excited is not the word, i have had this car for 7 years, am now 33 yrs old and this has been a childhood dream
