Thinking of holidaying in sweden in our campervan this summer.

A few questions - anyone advise of the best ferry companies/websites to book through??? Its a long ole crossing an by the looks of things quite pricey? We're hoping to go for 2-3 weeks during the 6 week school hols. No choice about any other time as i'm a teacher.

How much driving should i envisage...? I know this will vary depending on where we want to go, we're just starting to think abotu this....im thinking it looks a bit complicated and pricey to arrange so maybe we will just try france!

Cheers! :hangloose

Sweden is a huge country, and most of the nice bits have man-eating mossies.

It's a big country and fairly expensive (though not much more than UK). We sailed from Newcastle to Gothemburg and drove through the tail end of Sweden in to Denmark, across Denmark and sailed back from Denmark (Esbjerg) to Harwich, all through DFDS. People and place nice.

The sailing was expensive but is a bit of a minicruise, so we took it to be part of the holiday.

Good luck with it dude. :hangloose When we tried to go to France we broke down, don't suppose that helps.
