I was wondering if anyone is able to tell me what is a reasonable hourly rate for welding, and bodywork tasks in the South East.

Thanks

Hi,
That can really vary and depends on the quality of the job you want done. As a rough guess I think you're looking between £25 and £35 per hour for work that's nice.

What do you need doing?

About £35/hour round here (Norfolk) for good, professional welding.

I charge £30 per hour for welding, plus the cost of gas etc.
Same here.

As a hooby welder, I once got £50/hour for an emergency job which required me to work through the night. (Got £450)

However, I often drop to £20/hour for people I know or like.

It varies. Very occasionally I do it for free, for mates and people I really like.

Its a sliding scale. (Unpleasant, whinging ,ugly people pay more!) :D
