I just bought a 1303S

It's a 1974 1303S :D

It needs a new framehead bottom plate, and needs the bonnet and front bumper replacing/repairing due to a small bump. Other than that it is rust free :) Been in storage for just over a year.

It also has one peice windows, Golf seats and has been dechromed  but that's easy to put back.

Once it is sorted it will be my daily driver to give my '66 a break from the winter commuting :)

Picking it up next week, and hopefully on the road within 2 months!

Cool dude, it got rack and pinnion steering? Well done matey :)
Looks nice :D

Got any more pics ? :)
No more pics yet, but hopefully at the weekend.

It does have rack and pinion, I've always liked the late '03s :)
I've always thought a well sorted 'rack 03 would make a great daily :)
I'll let you know how it compares to the '66 :D
My 03`s got the later rack and pinion steering too and they are great :)

mines got a steering box and im proud of it :incheek:

hmm 2 months and it needs a framehead bottom plate, good luck :hangloose

i hope you have somewhere dry to work!
I'm not doing the work ;)

I've budgeted for a framehead bottom plate, but I looked under the car and couldn't see any obvious problems so it might be a lot less. Previous owner was quoted £300 for the repairs.

Considering the rest of the car is rust free, and that it could be purchased for a favourable price I think it is worth doing :)
Oh I found the second picture!

One of the first things after the MoT is going to be a can of black paint and a proper oil bath!

if you decide to break it put me down for the gearbox ;)
dude, that is nice, once i get my new ride, i will be happy as well!!! not to say the bug will be neglected....oh no...she will be getting a 1500 box, and an adjustable beam, and sod the credit card...
More pictures :D

It's gone off to have the MoT welding completed, there's a few more things that need sorting but all in all it is quite a solid, tidy car!

Unfortunately, it did turn out to be a standard 1303, rather than a 1303S, but the original 1300 engine has been rebuilt as a 1600. Therefore I will get some discs to put on it rather than drums as it will be a daily driver.

Also looking for some 5.5 GT wheels ;)

VW Action 1988 :D

That's a webber progressive on there, good upgrade, you'll have trouble fitting an oil bath on it though. :)
I realise that having had a closer look

It's an AR engine code, which I think is 1300, but it appears to have been rebuilt as a 1600 in the past.
Blimey! What is it with people getting red Mcpherson strut Bugs this month?!

Look what we've just got:

A 1302 Semi-auto. Needs heater channels, A and B posts but that's about it. The front end is absolutely solid!

I originally thought it was a 1302S as it has a 1600cc engine and the corresponding badge on the back but it turns out it's a 1302 with drum brakes on the front.

cool  130x's are the way forward :D I guess yours would be Kasan Red.

Please tell me you are keeping it Semi-Auto?

Howard has a 1302 Brochure on his website

Cool!

Yes we're going to keep it a semi-auto for as long as we can get the parts. I kinda like it as it's different and Mrs Venomous prefers an auto anyway.
You should! Semi Auto's are very rare and therefore very
