AND I'M 24!!!

The irony is I've not been ID'd EVER up until last year, and I've been clubbing/pubbing since I was 16 :( It's mad! It's also not so fun when you have to get your toy boy to flash his ID so you can by a 6 pack of beer

It's not just me is it????

Not just you I got ID'd buying beer in sains & I'm 30 & the kids were with me
Fuck me I'd love to be ID'd. One day it will stop and you too will look back and wish for those days again!
Just asked the missus on this one, she has a full alcohol selling licence, has to have it for her managerial job at the Co-op.

She says :-

Due to alot of underage people, especially females, looking older than they are, if you are under a certain height evne if you look old enough they ask for ID, if you look young in anyway they have to ask.

She also says the daily abuse her and her staff get over this you wouldnt believe, well you probably would ;)

TBH kids look alot older/dress alot older than say 10 years ago & the shit the shop can get into these days isnt worth the hassle + theres alot of 'planted' shoppers by the Police and also chain owners these days.

End of the day its there jobs on the line.

^^^ That comes from my missus ;) ^^^

Hope this helps ya a bit ;)

When I was at school many mooooooons ago, I remember it was some charity day so you could pay some money and not wear your uniform. One of the teachers came wearing a school uniform (some ironic value).. went to the shop after school to buy some wine and they refused to sell to her even when she showed her ID
They don't ID me they just don't let me in :( :bandit:

Sorry wasnt having a go in anyway what so ever, was just quoting what she said :(

Shes only just got her licence 3 weeks ago so is fresh in her head as she takes over her own shop beggining of next month.

I totally agree what has height got to do with it but when she was on her Licencees exam it was one of the things they stressed upon, like I/she said if you look youngish and arnt very tall then they WILL ask.

Sorry was just saying, didnt mean to offend in anyway whatsoever, neither of us was.

.
I'm quite dissapointed, it's been over two years since I've been ID'd ...

I'm 32 :)
i got id'd once after buying about 80 quids worth of beer (for a vw show) went round to the *** counter, and they wouldnt sell me 20 smokes even though i had the beer in the trolley....

you shouldnt drink naiomi...its bad for you :incheek:

Don't worry, I didn't mean it like that, it's just weird what some companies judge age by

I know it's hard though to judge age, I've worked in a few pubs and it's not easy, I guess I should be happy about it. The was the woman was obviously shocked when Dez told her I'm 2.5 years older than him was funny.

I was also suprised as I always look like a right scrubber when I go shopping (and asda/tesco are the only places I get ID'd s) so it's not like I'm dressing 'up' to by beer, ALSO  It was Old perculier I was buying  Not vodka, stella, alcopops etc

I didn't even notice it was you that had posted that  Just remembered the combats performance at Big summer bender, that kept me laughing all night :D
