from my rocker cover.

they are also very rusty.

shall I:

get alloy bolt on type

get alloy clip on type (do they both fit?) or are they vehicle specific

powder coat and refit my existing covers.

the claim on the alloy ones, is that they have "superior sealing power"......

Standard ones will do the job fine just buy some new standard ones. Others tend to look pretty if fitted correctly new ones wont leak, after all they are probably original and thats at least 20 years old for most engines being used if not much, much older...

Well dont forget to do the most obvious and change the gasket !!!!!!!!!!!!
Definately do this, its sometimes worth getting some new cover clips too as the old ones tend to lose a bit of their ability to hold it all in place over the years.

the whole rocker covers are pretty cheap it seems, and come with new clips and gaskets.

i was just wondering if the ally ones were any better. i was a bit worried about reflective materials in them though, after reading a thread in here....
