hey, can a GEX 1600 and a Freeway flier trans push a 72 bug in the fast lane and up hills?
what size is reliable, can push up hills with ease (and fits)?

im new and yes...American. but my grandmother is English or something.

EDIT: o and also wat carb, type, size, or number of carbs should i use with watever engine or the 1600.

ok so which company does? and wat size engine from them should i use?

EDIT: how come gex has a bad rep?

try thesamba.com website for engine builders and reputations, loads of info and plenty of people to show you the right way to go for your dollar ;)

A strong 1600 engine, stock, should be good enough for 75-80mph all day, but you might consider a larger engine size, say 1776cc to make it more fun. Throw a couple of largeish carbs on and you are away.

You need to research about the engine that you want, what you want from it and what your budget is. There is plenty on all the forums about upgrading engines, carbs, cooling etc that all needs to be factored into the equation.
