Just bought one of these and it seems pretty quick, even for an auto.

It's an 8V Carburettor model from 1986. Anyone any idea what power it is, I can only seem to find the power for the squirted ones?

My old Rover Cab (yes I know I know) had 110BHP and I would guess it's somewhere around that figure as it cruises easily to 100, and I've had 110 on the flat.

I've had an 1800 carb version of one of them. Think it was somewhere around 90 BHP. Got 108 MPH out of it once - and that was when the engine was running badly.
Loved the way the engine took off at 4500 RPM. Weeeeeeeee! :D
The non-Catalyst 1781 cc Carburettor engine puts out 90 bhp at 5200 rpm. Specified top speed with the Auto box is 171 km/h

171kph = 108mph, looks like you both agree.

Full kickdown shifts up at 5500 rpm. Mine's had a carb upgrade, so maybe it's a little quicker. Not that I ever trust speedos.

Thanks guys.
