Soooooooooo the MOT is later this week, and the back door is being replaced so it's about time I got the 'weary from the 2008 tour' bus a new coat of paint :D

Since I bought it in December 2007, it's gone from this to this:

And the interior looks like this:

So the question for the respray is ...

New Beetle Yellow & White or Pink & White?

Will it matter, what with you being colour blind?
Before I even saw you'd posted suggestions I was gonna say pink :D ~x~
Yellow over pink for certain :)

That, my friend, is legendary cuntishness.

Good order :D
Kayla - you should go for a total change.

Satin black, with a green flame job.

And reinvent the music as hillbilly rock/christian rock, with a slight bit of speed metal in the solos :D
peelo thinks, most of us only dream of a respray... let along a respray again within a couple of years.

You must be minted or it must be a cheap and nasty respray close up.

Personally I'd bare metal it and leave it outside for the winter... the way things are at the moment it would increase in value and give you some street cred.

Just so you know, I am trying to drink a cup of coffee and my laptop is too new for spitting on. OK?!

Ooooooooooooooo how daring :) Although it might not match the still-fairly-new-and-most-definitely-girlie upholstery!

Id leave it as it is.
Looks realy nice:cool:
Thanks Hoosier!

Nope, I'm as skint as a very skint thing with the last 20p I own in the bank account ... being a freelance Web Designer/Musician means there's veeeeeeeeeeery little work about at the minute. The respray is a must do thing as I paid for a really cheap one last year and (surprise surprise) it wasn't the greatest in the world. So funds from my 30th birthday last week plus a LOT of Ebaying is the plan.

keep it yellow and slam it :bandit:
Thanks NJ! Unfortunately carting about all my PA and gear means that slamming it would make it almost impossible to go over any of the many speed bumps where I live!

Orange! spray it Orange!
I would love to! (If it weren't for the newish interior)

Just so you know, I am trying to drink a cup of coffee and my laptop is too new for spitting on. OK?!

Thanks for the tips guys, keem em coming!

Maybe make the flame job predominantly pink ? And go for a grunge style on the music ? Halfway house, eh. :D

It's not worth the grief.

The cost of a decent respray is very expensive... only cheaper way to do it is do all the prep work yourself and have a mate who can spray do the actual application of the paint. But even then, good paint is costly in itself.

I'd just stick with it as it is.

 Now *that's* an idea ...

:D I think it'd blend into the background a wee bit if it were!

Thanks for the advice - it's got a new rear door in a completely different colour and the yellow wasn't the right colour shade when it was 'done' last year ... hence the respray!
Why don't you get someone to vinyl wrap it? You could then put what you like on it? Shamless self promotion maybe? :D

There are some people who do that on here. Cheaper than a respray.
