here goes i may be accused of being a pedant but
last month ultra and volks world had idf equiped cars and the feature said they were ida,s what is the world coming to.
and this month the carson top on that feature car well its a shocker .......plywood headliner with a wibbely wobbely dont quite fit motteff .... or is the just me.?

come on mags lets get your loin,s girderd or somthing .

ps what about a how to make and fit drivers fold up armrests for 54 bugs thanks .

to be fair to the owner, he is fully recovering the roof of that car as I type this, but I'm not going to knock a guy for having a go and building something off-the-wall!
Just out of interest, what car was misquoted on the carbs as I'm at home without a reference copy to hand?

volksworld summer o6 page 8 is all i can find so far but its the air filters that make me say not ida but you never know
ps the one that realy buged me was another featre will look it up.
pps the best thing about mags is the well i would not of done it that way factor.

I think it's an excellent issue. Ultra VW always covers a wide range of vehicles and, although not to everyones taste, it's nice to see something different. Keep up the good work.

Checking my copy of said publication I find that on page 8 there is a picture of a man looking under the front end of a very nice purple Beetle. hhhmm
However on page 13 there is a picture of the engine of aformentioned Bug and it is clearly running twin 48ida webers with air filters.

The carbs used on the VolksWorld feature car in question are Weber 48 IDAs bored out to 51.8mm and fitted with K&N air filters.
