Last year I bought this Dinky Volkswagen De Luxe off eBay

Today it looks a little healthier

And with its old friend, the kit version

Deck lid refuses to stay closed (a common problem) and I forgot to re-silver the back of the headlights!
No-one sells the correct square number plates for these cars (UK or German regs) so I've got to work out how to source one or make my own

This was a good find. I considered buying one of these gold Cursor VW K70L models off eBay recently for £15+post, I got this one for free at the boot sale - after finding the body, base, glass, seats, dash and parcel shelf separately in the box!
Still missing the steering wheel are front seat backs but it looks nice. Think gold means it was a dealership promo model

I also got this later version of the Matchbox VW bay window in with a handful of other cars for £1

I wonder why they felt the need to add that single exhaust pipe?

Oh and yet another 50p Welly Lupo - I've sold a few for £15+ on eBay, got four spares here now!

Thanks Jim, I'm the OP of that one, and would be happy to send this out just for the cost of the postage. It's BNIB, never started. Also, note the price label, bought from the great Taylor & Mckenna toy and model shop in Aylesbury - long gone now, and not part of a chain as far as I remember.

I might have lost the plot slightly here, I see these at boot sales now and again and consider getting one, but they're always battered and missing bits - and rather on the large side!

Yeah, Action Man. I never had one growing up and don't want one now, I was into cars not dolls.
I'll probably pass this one on but it was in such nice condition, complete with missiles that I couldn't resist spending £6.00 in a charity shop
