Dear all,
I need some help with tyre sizes for the front of my 1970 bug. I've just bought a set of 15x6inch Fuch alloys with a ET of 35mm, and a 3.5 inch narrowed beam with CB dropped splines and disk brake conversion. The guy who built it said it can be lowered up to 5 inches. I am basically mechanically dislexsic(?) but know how I what the car to look
, ie in the weeds, but still driveable over speed humps and doing a 3 point turn. I take it I need smart car low profiles, but coz the rims are 6inch what size tyres can be stretched over them???

Help much appreciated!!

BAZZA! :)

145/65s will be too narrow for your 6" rims.

Try 165/50s, 175/50 or 55, or 185/45. all of these are pretty skinny and will help with the drop.
