Mac Help Please!

Is there anyway of getting deleted items back once you've emptied your waste basket?! :(

Just a folder of random stuff, but there was stuff in there that meant a lot... should've burnt it to disc really

I assume you have emptied the trash? If you haven't then just click on the trash icon and drag the folder back onto your desltop.

As long as you did 'empty trash' and not 'secure empty trash' you should be able to get it back using Norton Utilities or similar.
I never even knew there was a secure empty trash!

*runs off to see if she can find a free download of norton utilities*

Still haven't worked out how to find it.... without paying that is!

Might be a problem. You used to be able to restore deleted items with Norton Systemworks but the latest versions are only suitable for windows. If your Os is 10.3 or earlier, you should be fine but if it's 10.4 and above then you'll need to find another program or call in a geek... :(
