Manifold stud and nuts

If a stud has pulled out of the head can it be drilled out and a helicoil put in?

If so how much are we looking at ?

cheers. Where can i get one of those studs?

And what if ( i hope not!) the stud breaks off in the head?

Ill sqirt wd40 on for ages beforehand tho

From Heritage or from me, mine are £3 incl P&P.

You said the stud 'pulled out of the head'. If it hasn't then you can still drill it out if it breaks.

WD40 isn't for that job, use Plusgas for seized threads.

cool. Its not for a vw tho. its for a subaru brat so not sure yet on the size, plus poss need manifold gasket but dunno where to look
Go to a Subaru dealer for gaskets, they're not dear. IRO £6 for the inlet manifold ones

Helicoils or Timecerts (better) are around £25 a pop at an engineering company
