Exactly Dude, i thought the world had ended when i smashed up the panel van on boxing day, and my engine sale falling through after lots of messing, but karma had this bus in store for me ;) :D

I couldnt be happier :D

Nice rear end, Alex. :p

Bry
Thanks you can stroke my rear when ever you like Bry ;) :D

Nice M8, tell us more.:D
Ah HA, I shall, but the best installment for me will be next Wednesday, DISC BRAKES FTW!!!!!!!!! ;) :D
sweet van dude... needs lowering tho.. lol
sweet bus
has it got the 1776 from your other bus in it, or did you manage to find a new owner for that motor
luvverly arse Alex:cool: front isn't too bad either :D amazing what a difference bumpers can make!
nice bus dude
 @ Alex

it's low enough thanks, i have to deal with speed bumps and pot holes of south london, the roads here are worse than beruit ;)

Thanks all for the kind comments :D

Its my 1776cc the buyer backed out last minute after paying for a refresh which was a bonus for me, I also added a new kennedy clutch, managed to swap my dellorto 36's for webber 44's for free, New valve springs, when i bought the van it already had a cogbox recon'd 2L geabox and the engine bay had a facet fuel pump fitted, i'd already purchased an MSD ignition system for when i go BIG so that went on as well.

All in all quite a difference to drive :D

my p.b. previously (in the grey panel van) was 17.7 @ Big Bang 2007

Big Bang this year in this van having only been in it a few weeks, i ran a 17.2 :D :D :D

I'd been running my panel van for 4 years and every year had knocked 0.1 or so off my time from 2004 big bang 18.2 down to 17.7, so to knock 0.5 off in my first time out BLEW MY MIND :D

p.s. I'm still to take the fan belt off and get proper serious;)

an i still don't quite get what happened to the other one, why the change
i like your curtains btw
I had an accident on boxing day at 7am i've still got it, its for sale in my sig ;) But i'm not fussed as i have a long term plan for it;) and have it garged for free at the mo. But this new van was imported 4 years ago by a mate he left it on my drive for about a year so i knew it well, it was straight cept a few tiny trolley dents and a ding in the front panel, he's sprays so was prepping it, he had got it ready for an MOT and the engine blew so i bought it as he needed to a deposit for a house and i didnt want to sit a show season out :D It was the right van at the right price at the right time:D

nicely orsum
Right as promised here is a proper update and start to this thread :D

I purchased this bus end of Feb this year,

In order this is all i've had to do :D

change rear tyres from 70 profile down to 65 just to stop rubbing when hard cornering,

chuck my old lump in with a bit of feteling ;) (see post above for details)

Weld up small patch in drivers front wheel well where the old Air Con pipes used to run

Find feltle and fit a rear Bumper :D

this brought me up to yesterday

I've had a Hurst Roll Control Line Loc sat at home for over 3 years so at last it's made it onto one of my vans :D

Now i tend to enjoy a long fast blast, and therefore (not that it really needed it now i'm on the 2L gearbox) I've gone for a Monster Oil cooler, running an inline thermo switch (set at 160f)

The Oil system now holds over 5L of oil :D

As you can see from the above pictures the pipes handily go through the old air con pipe holes so very lil impact on the shell and chassis.

I've now got the stopping power to match my Go Go power :D

Everything i do to this van i'm trying to be as Future (well stroker) proof as possible.

The disc brake conversion is fantastic to use, only one issue and thats i keep impaling myself on the steering wheel

I'm all happy and set now for 2 european adventures next month,

Bug In, and also i'm off for a weeks trip to germany en convoy with 3 other vans :D
