mystery character from the VW scene???

As some of you may know, im not involved with the VW 'scene' as much. I dont like it and never really been involved with it. VW's, yes, but the scene that they spawned, no!

So because of this, i dont know anything or anyone.

I was talking to some guy who lives on thesame street as me, who was heavily involved with the VW scene back in the day, but now gave it all up to pursue other ventures.

As we were talking about the latest on the state of our project and stuff like that, He mentioned that there is a person i should meet sometime, who was one of his old disciples, and in fact got his first flat-4 engine from the guy on my street.

This person then became a real big-shot in the scene, doing engine tuning, buggies, and a ton of other stuff. Im not sure if he said wether this person is still active, or retired, or what? Either he didnt say, or he did say but i forgot.

He mentioned that this mystery person at some point changed his name legally to ''wolfsburg volkswagen'' or something like that, and his girlfriend changed hers to ''karmann ghia''.

Apparently this mystery charecter also lives somewhere around here, or did live, or something.

Sorry i cant remember anymore, i think i was thinking about something else at the time and it all went in one ear and out the other, as it were.

So has anybody herd of this mystery charecter? Apparintly he is very cool and knows alot.

I figured if he is as big as that guy said, then someone on here would know. Perhaps he is even on here himself?

Wow...that was pretty quick.

The guy who mentioned this was some guy who is an actor, has a maroon 2 seater porker and a fiberglass alfa powered kitcar, used to own a watersports (?) shop in weymouth, dorset. He has a name, but like so many other things...i ALWAYS forget it. I know him by a nick name.
sounds like a load of shit....

was it Nic BC?
I am Wolfsburg Volkswagen,too.
Wait...or was that a joke???

Who is it? Justin or Pyro? Or neither?

Iv had far more then my daily quota of carbon monoxide today (damn T25 engine)...i get confused too easily...

huh???
So were all replies to this thread a joke, or is someone actually being serious?

Do you know where you are?

Seriously it does sound like a bit of a wind-up, there are lots of people that see themselves as 'legends', but often just in their own mind/lunch times.
See now I was really beginning to think that it might actually be me, cos the description deffo fits in many ways. But then I got to this bit:

a fiberglass alfa powered kitcar,
...and then I realised it couldn't be, cos my alfa-powered kitcar wasn't GRP :(

I'm Karmann Ghia, and so is my wife :tick:

the REAL bellends tend to believe every word they tell folks though.

I know of one "name" who loved to tell me (and everyone else!) about every pie he'd had his fingers in, past present and future, I had no issues with said person, just thought they exagerated a touch...

One day he started to abuse his position in the "scene" and started to say things about a friend of mine, a friend that'd done a LOT for this person.

that day I realised he was a cunt.

and that wasn't Nic BC.
Well...i dont know...like i said i dont get involved with the scene, i dont know whos who etc.

But this does sound strangely familiar. I remember hearing somewhere about some person who changed their name legally to something to do with VW trivia...

But i hear alot of things alot of the time, and i sure as hell dont dedicate my limited brain capacity to them ALL.

So noone has herd of this mythical charecter?

Apparintly he used to have a very well known tuning shop and built some pretty famous stuff, buggies as well as track/strip stuff, and was featured alot in all the usual magazines that i dont read but you all probably do.

Im not exactly sure of when this all happened tho, might have been a while ago.
