Reg'd '55?It's a 56 for a start, interior looks to have been retrimmed, Aerials were dealer fit, so type and location differs, yours is totally acceptable.
Quite possibly, but it's defo a 56 model year, not a 55.Reg'd '55?
It's a '56 'model' as Andy says (types) . . . although it could have been 'built' late '55 . . . the fuel gauge is worth money . . . keep itHi guy's
What do you mean by reg'd 55?? can you tell what year it is from the number plate? as it's only 3 letters and 3 numbers.
And the fuel gauge on the dash is not real it's just for show, I will be removing it once I have the car.
Could someone point out a few things that make an oval a 55 year?
Thanks.
Best regards, Alex.
Yes defo keep the gauge. Find the correct sender and get it working. It's a '56 'model' as Andy says (types) . . . although it could have been 'built' late '55 . . . the fuel gauge is worth money . . . keep it

WHS ^Yes defo keep the gauge. Find the correct sender and get it working.
It's nothing to do with the no plate, for the 1956 model year and thereafter, VW start the new model year on August 1st of the previous year. So your car could easily have been built between August 55 and dec 55, but would be a 56 model year.Hi guy's
