Just bought a hopeful daily ride barn find MK2 1994 Polo Coupe, took a while to get the car back, bit of welding all normal places, the car was dumped outside so had to save it and stick a set of BBS wheels on it. (y)(y)(y)(y)(y)(y)(y)(y)(y)
Here are some pictures sold my daily fiesta to get it as had tyo save it, dont mind rebuilding it while im busing it, got the whole car to build, but as soon as I start welding it will stick on those pictures too, getting mu proirities right and looking for a set of BBS wheels to stick on might as well do it in style, will be using my 56 bug as a daily, which should be fun ;) The whole car cost £500 with another Interior chucked in ;);););););););););)

Gotta love a wee polo! Good man for saving it, looks like a run out model polo match, they came with wee 13” 5spokes, but were based on a. Fox so basic spec. They generally don’t need a huge pile of metalwork but the tanks do need replacing so check that. Looking forward to updates 😎
Mot history looks good only around 80k and failed last test in 2018 due to dopey issues and not excessive rot

Thats not too bad a fail list. I've seen a lot worse on polos. Mine had rotten sills. :(
One of my friends from uni had a pink polo fox estate and it had 5 spoke wheel trims on steel wheels.
I remember that pinky colour think they were hard to shift.

Most of the mk2 f had those trims, they fitted perfectly over the steels and the holes marched up to look like an alloy. I’d them on mine for a while.
The fox had a flat steel with numerous holes, I’d seen a few with trims fitted but they looked terrible as didn’t match the wheel.
Found a pic of a match with the alloys

I thought those alloys were just an aftermarket addon.
They were used on the match to get rid of them and then an option on the 6n.
Great wee cars as dailies, the sills are cheap enough from heritage
The battery box was a rust spot on mine. Left me with soaked trainers one day driving in the rain.
Common spot as trapped leaves and blocked the drain. Mine had a gaping hole in it too!

I’ve a build thread on here somewhere “project polo” not that I did much of the building 😂
Any pics of your bug 😍
Have you fitted the tank yet? Be prepared for the neck to be nowhere near where it should be. Have heard of using a brush shaft to manipulate etc but non of the non genuine ones fit!
Looks like you’re almost at paint stage 😎 are you keeping it the original green? Look’s awesome on the one zen posted 😎
