Good luck with it mate - might be worth checking the trailing arm mounts as well (you can put your finger inside and check to see whether it’s crusty and your finger goes through.

I got inner/outer sills for mine from AH Schofields as their panels are of a decent quality.

Those snorkel boxes tend to rot out where water gets in through the rear air vents. I’ve got a magnetic strip behind the vent so the water runs off of the gutter and behind the strip and away from the vents (not my pic but you can see how it works):

There’s some proper sh1tbags about - and after all the work that has been done on it.

Looks like the leak is central so I reckon it’s from damage done from nicking the fuel as usually leaks from corrosion happen at the end of the pipes, either at the rad end or where it connects to the coolant junction.

Hope he’s able to get away in it soon.

Could it have been siphoned from the pipe on the side (presuming it’s the same on a diesel tank):

Cracking work - as has been said, the rust in these old girls seems to be never ending!

Was the header tank full up Zebedee?
