The fuel gauge on our 73 Bay stopped working, I did the test with grounding the gauge and it showed full. So I presumed that it must be the sender thats faulty. But I have noticed that the G light and the oil pressure light are also not lighting up. Any ideas ?
Theres a +12v line from the fuse box that supplies the rear of the dash assembly, i would suggest that this has either come off and / or the fuse has blown. i would check the fuses first and then have a look at the back of your dash, it's easy to remove - pull the air controls off - give them a good pull. unscrew the four screws holding the instrument assembly to the dash. As you withdraw the instrument assembly you'll have to put your hand round the bottom of the dash and unscrew the speedo cable from the back of the speedo.
