I have two oil pumps of differing depths it seems one goes into the engine about 15mm further than the other.

Can anyone tell me why the two sizes, and which will fit my engine formally a t1 1300 buit in 1972 if that offers any clues

Theres a fair few different depth pumps over the years. The Tom Wilson book goes into it in great detail - worth buying. Really can't be fussed with copying it all out here as theres about 6 different pump gear sizes coming in at various points in the engines development.

113.115.109 is 4.5mm from the outide of the case flange to the tip
113.115.109B is 5mm from the outide of the case flange to tip.
