Original (tatty) Paint vs. repaint - resale effect, + valuation?

My bug is a low mileage, one previous owner car, all original (except the front beam, which is a lowered one that I've swapped for the original - still got the old one though) - 43k miles, FSH, every MOT, all original documentation etc. mint interior, all original rubbers, original coloured wing beading, never had any welding and doesn't need any - basically its an awesome car #BUT# see the pic, the roof and some of the bonnet has little holes in the paint caused by a wasps nest above the car when it was in storage - I regularly wax the car so theres been no damage to the underlying metalwork.

Now, my real query is, if I come to sell it (as I am thinking about doing cos I want a squareback) would I be better getting it painted (which tbh I wouldn't do if I was keeping it cos I love the original patina) to make it A1, or leave as is? If painted the car would probably be a concours contender. As it is it (unfairly) would probably be grouped with ratlook/hoodride - which I love, but this car ain't it!

Any ideas what I could expect to get for it as is/repainted?
