My pc is overloaded, could do with more memory but in the meantime I'm moving and deleting and keeping fingers crossed ....
I need to download adobe so that I can start my online CBT course but I haven't got enough space, can I delete J2SE Runtime Environment 5.0 update 3 ??? It's the thing that takes up the most space ??

Question 2
C:\ SYSTEM VOLUME INFORMATION \ A0021120 EXE
DITTO \1 DLL
DITTO \2 DLL
DITTO \3 DLL
are infected files that I can't repair, can I delete, they sound important ?? Managed to install avast in the end ;)

finally I'm looking at getting a new pc for under £500 any recommendations - Dell any good ? PC world ? Asda ?

J2SE Runtime Environment 5.0 update 3 is used for Java I think, and if you delete that then Java might fuck up and you won't be able to use certain sites.

Dell are good if you want a pre made computer, but you'll save money by buying parts and building a computer yourself ;)

Deleting and keeping your fingers crossed is never a good idea ;)
backup your documents etc and format and reinstall, that'll free up space.
I used to have windows 95, bloke at work fixed it and loaded windows xp proffesional 2002, put a c & d drive on and a dvd writer, but most of the prog files n stuff are on c, some of the stuff it won't let me move to d, some of it I don't know if I need or not ?
afaik I've deleted any temp files/cookies etc. Don't have any saved docs or pics. I think the main problem is the memory ? 1.19ghz, 265mb ram 263 mb free on c - all gobbledygook to me ... I wouldn't have a clue how to re format etc - I don't deserve to own a pc do I

All I want to do is download adobe so I can print something off but it will only download to c :(

Dell it is then if they're ok - looking at NPIUK5-DO9515 - ooo flat screen - that was from a leaflet in the paper, just seen that the offer ended 27/09  I'll have to look on the website.
this one can go upstairs for music downloads - another lump out of my garden money but I probably sit here more than I do the garden as it's such a tip

I love the way you say that and then wait for the "How do I do that???" :D
my exact words
I've always gone the Dell route, for the last 5 or 6 years anyway, never had a problem.

What do you want to do on the PC, other than run Adobe  . If it's just a bit of word processing and internet access then you should be able to get something suitable for under £500. Dell are always doing deals so keep checking the website. :hangloose
