I always think it depends on what the letters are.

A "standard" degree I wouldn't ever bother with (like my BSc, for example).
A Masters, yes I would
A trade-specific one, yes when dealing with that trade, not when outside of that trade.

I have MEng, it's on my buisness cards but thats the only time I use it. It's irrelevant otherwise. I'm training for MICE CEng but again I would only use it for work related stuff.

I have a BSC(Hons) but I don't think I've ever written that after my name. Besides, it's long enough and confuses people enough already!

I've got 9 O' levels, 2 A' levels and a couple of C&G's but that would look silly after my name

I use my Chartered MCIPD and MA on my business cards, and of course if I'm looking for work (CV, etc). I also pull them out in occasional internal e-mails when someone clearly needs putting in order when they're pretending to be all authoritative about something ;)

I pull my other ones out when relevant :D

I will have a BEng (Hons) after my name in November (graduation ceremony is a bit late!!).

The degree has got me a job, so I dont really need to use the letters.

Might use MRAeS if I ever get there

Dont really see the need though.
