Noticed a pluming thred today and reminded me of a q i have


Right then
i am seting an auto watering system up for my plants and some one has given me 3 honeywell zone valves . so what i want to do is wire these up to a plug and plug that into a timer but the valves have 5 wires coming out of them ..

Dont supose anyone nows how to wire them up :)

Well it would be if i could understand the diagram :rolleyes:
the valve is a honeywell v4043h

I think it will be blue nutral .... brown live..... yellow earth


Then when the brown becomes live the valve will open

and dont use the orange and gray

TBH its been a few years now and I cant remember, but I thought it was:

Blue = Neutral
G/Yel = Earth
Grey = perm live
Brown = switch live
Orange = Boiler signal

Yeah just had a look at the diagram for you.

Grey connects to Pin7 which has a link wire on the south side of the block from pin1 which is live.
Blue direct to N
Green/Yellow direct to E
Brown connecting to pin5 which is link from Roomstat (i.e. switch)
Orange connecting to Pin10 which links back to pump and boiler, so you arent likely to need.

seems to be right guna try it wired to a plug as norm if it dont work i will join the grey and brown together

Iwill wear some ruber boots
