Quick shifter... 68bay pannel

quick quickshifer question, im hoping to use one of the empi £4 quickshift kit on my early bay, its the ones with the plate and the ball if you know waht i mean, not a new shifter...

i know you can fit em to beetles just wondering if i can reduce the throw on my early bay?

Yes, you can fit it and it will reduce travel in the same way as a Beetle, but be sure your front end gearshift rod cup and plastic bush isn't badly worn as well.
