There isnt a vacuum return from the carb to the fuel tank, do you mean the breather pipes on the fuel tank? They must stay on.
Redundant Vacuume pipes
I have installed a 1641 engine with a 32/36 weber carb in a '72
bay. Question: The vacuum return pipes fron carb to fuel tank: is it
necessary to keep them or can they now be discarded and blocked off?
