Our beloved Type 2 was innocently involved in a head on collision with an imbecile driving a Subaru at the weekend.

We need a quote from a reputable VW specialist for the repair, it's a big job!!

The van is in Wisbeach at the moment, awaiting an insurance inspection.

If it's not repairable - I hate to say this - then we would like a quote for scrap value.

The camper is in great condition, apart from the nasty head injury courtesy of the nice young man driving the Subaru.

Thanks,

Jaffadub

Sounds like I'm on commission for these guys, as Ive mentioned them already to another volkszone user (but im not).
If youíre not sorted already, try:-
VW Technics, Over, Cambridgeshire. 01954 231455.
They had the front of a bus apart when I visited them, so they may be able to help out.

Tell them Awesome referred you.... cheers

Had my front bearings done at VW Technics yesterday. Was initially booked in for last Friday, so went there then; however I'd told them it was my rears that needed doing - but it wasn't! - so they rebooked me for Tuesday. Didn't charge for the rears that they'd ordered for me, or for discovering it was the front bearings that needed doing, which was a good sign (I've been charged for less before).

Tuesday, went there, the parts place had dropped off the wrong bearings. They very kindly gave me a lift home instead of waiting around - no charge again, and they picked me up in the afternoon after they'd got the right parts. Must have been about 30/40 odd miles they covered over the course of the day to pick me up and drop me off. Wow.

Car's great again, their rates were very reasonable and really recommend VW Technics to anyone in the Cambridge area.
