that's really quite a change !wiltsteve said:yep.
They've done research and all that jazz and the compressions help to get the air in and out the lungs so the breaths aren't as important. I also think that you used to give them breaths first then compressions but now it is straight into compressions.

It changed sometime in january this year.....and its much easierRed Leader said:I done it this year and it was still 15:2,
I wish they would leave it alone, all it does is lead to confusion.

quick tip buy one of those pipe things you put in the mouth and down the wind pipe cos the contents of their stomach come up when they breath out and kissing dead person is bad enough but one covered in puke is another thing altogether
nah, they just made it more simple thats all cos people were wasting time checking pulses etc.......you just keep going now til help arrives, no stopping to check signs, cos it wastes time when you could be pumping the air roundJenocide said:I'm sure if some one had stopped breathing and you helped them they are really not going to care whether you use 15:2, 30:2 or poke them with a spoon, as long as it works.
