My '77 bus has rusted guttering and holes at the top of the windows just beneath the guttering. On a scale of 1 to 10, how hard a repair is this? and who might sell the equipment to repair it? tia.

Welcome to VZi :)

Any panel replacement in an area like the roof gutter where two panels meet will be difficult, especially if you have not tackled anything like this before.

If it is just surface rust you may be able to clean up the area using a wire brush attachment on a drill or angle grinder. Then treat with a rust neutraliser like K-Rust followed by a coat of zinc primer.

Depending on the finish you require, spray on or paint on the top coat of cellulose. Some independent motor factors will mix up as little as half a litre of celly while you wait.

Good Luck :hangloose
