Our friends at Santa Pod have asked us to pass on the following information to you guys . . .

We have the ideal opportunity this weekend at the Saturday Night Special on 14th October for all you V-Dubers to get some more track time after the wet National Finals weekend. Get some more testing done on your machines before you put them away for the winter months to re-couperate!

The track is open from 9am-9pm (weather and track conditions permitting) with additional attractions of demo runs by the 270mph Fireforce Jet Funny Car, as usual there will be full catering and bar facilities as well as evening entertainment going on on Saturday night. There is also free camping for those wishing to stay over for the Sunday Run What Ya Brung.

Gates will open at 8am. Signing on costs the normal £20 per driver per day for unlimited runs, just donít forget to bring your driving licence! Entry costs £10 for a full-day ticket and £20 for a two-day ticket, Free camping with two-day tickets.

Given the current Monsoon conditions in the Berkshire area, i don't hold out a lot of hope for a dry track....

the sky is black here too

but it does say that is it going to dry up and be sunny by the weekend

We have to plan things weeks in advance down here so we can get through the border controls :crazy:

I want to do some photography, at Santa Pod over the weekend. But I have never been there.
Is there any areas I can't go (i.e. pits or something)?
Its just that I don't want to stay in one place. As my shots would be crap.

This will not matter, if the weather is as bad as it was today.

I noticed last night that its on the Santa Pod year planner they sent out at the beggining of the year. Maybe they weren't planning on including VW's back then though?

last weekend was dry and sunny ,no down time no queueing ,free tickets and two 11 second runs ,couldnt get any better

did i mention the pole dancers
