Starting to refurb my seat frames. Am I right should these small stubs that the upright part of seat attach’s to have a threaded part at the end? If so anyone know what size thread.

Thinking I can grind weld at back and knock these out to replace with something like bolt of correct size.

You mean the peg the seat upright pivots on? If so then not held on by anything as it should be an effort to get the upright onto the pegs.
yeh that’s the ones. Had a look on Wolfsburg West site. They advertise nut but they 61 and up seats. Video I watched just said before 64 seat refurb. Thought mine might have been cut off.

There were also subtle differences between Euro and USA Beetle with USA wanting 'safety' measures added to make it more of a ballache to sell foreign vehicles in the US. Now admittedly my seats I recond were both early 60's and since moving to Oz they had the same stuff from 58 to 68, unlike the northern hemisphere, but if the frame upright is difficult to get ove the pegs and the frames pivot point sits pretty close to the seat bases frame then you're all good.
