Just checked my business emails and had an email saying it was from paypal, I opened it and read it! It said that a foreign ip address had been trying to get into my account, and I needed to click the link and confirm my details to make my account secure, and if I don't do it they will close my account!

So I clicked the link, and logged in, then got very concerned cus te page it asked me to fill in asked for my card pin number????????and a whole load of personal stuff that they wouldnt need to know!
So I have forwarded the email to [email protected], to check it out?

Anyone else had this? Its really worried me?????

sounds like a spoof to me. Had a few of ebay in the past but not for paypal.

Stupid question but have you changed your password since you clicked on the link ? I'd do it sooner rather than later just in case. :)
it is bogus. any emails from ebay or paypal asking you to log in/confirm yr details or yr account is suspended etc. just forward to the spoof guys :hangloose
definitly a spoof email, i would change your password now as if you logged in then they probably have the password

I got a spoof email from paypal today too, saying that I had three unread alerts....
Just rang the bank and apparently the account its ok, but I have to keep checking it over the next week!
Its really worrying how easy they can con you! The site it took me to looked just like paypa, it was only the questions and the copyright bit at the bottom that got my attention!

I need a cup of tea after that, my poor little heart

you've done every thing you can now. I doubt you'll have any problems as you've changed your password etc and contacted the bank.

Why am I always on my own when I make these discoveries? :(
