From the start, until October 1952. The 'change-over splits' (the ones with the oval dash) had quarter lights. I think you would have to find the door first, before you think about price.....or, maybe you have!

If the oval doors you have have one piece glass, then its aftermarket "cal look" style, not OG VW pre Oct 52 stuff. The OG glass has cut outs at the top near the front for ventilation.
When you say the latches are wrong, whats wrong exactly? all pre Jun 55 doors are interchangeable, and are easily recognized by a ridge around the inner dood card, all later doors will not fit due to completey different lock mechanisms.

But how much should i be asking for them? Ihave seen the glass at $250, latches$200, winders at $150 each and the striped doors at $250up each. on the samba. But what are they worth here ?

Posted prices on the Samba don't mean squit, its what people will actually pay.
IMO £150-£300 a side complete dependant on condition.
I sold a NOS pre 53 door for £300 bare a few years back.
