Have been looking for decent quality stock style peashoooter tailpipes, but most have that "sunny climate chrome", and don't last very long :(
Found some 250 mm (fits quite a few Beetles), stainless steel tailpipes at GSF, Part No. 20067, £ 6.00 each + VAT, very nice, even the liner is stainless, they are about twice the weight of the cheapo pipes, (which cost about £4.25).
That's another bit that won't need polishing :D

I fitted stainless tail pipes to my 1300 about 10 years ago and they're still good.

That's cheap as chips! I wonder if it's a mistake.
One quick question, how did you get on with emailing the VW Auto Museum using the email addresses I mentioned in the birth certificate thread ?

With any luck they should have got there without any problems at all.

I forgot to reply on your thread, but yeah I got a reply from them saying it was on it's way. When I got home from work, there it was. Talk about efficient!

I've updated my Ghia resto thread with the details of it.

Thanks again for the guide and the tips. :)
