Hi Guys,

Some advice please from those of you who know about the year-on-year subtle changes between models.....

I have a 72 T1, which was registered in Feb 1972. Does the windscreen size change on cars manufactured later in 72?

The reason I ask is that I am trying to fit a set of Weksberg flush-fit lexan race windows to the car and the windscreen is a slightly different shape- the windows are labelled "fit all 72-79".

Any help much appreciated.

Cheers

Jonny

From Aug. '72 ('73 model year), the "Super" models (strut suspension)
all received the curved screen.

Standard models (torsion beam) kept the "flat" screen from '65 thru '77
models.

thanks Jim,

Yeah the car is a flat screen 1300 TB model. Guess I'll just have to carefully file the screen to fit around the wiper spindle pressings

Yep the rear screen got taller for 72,(although I believe that Mexican production kept the earlier rear screen.) but after 65 the front screen is the same, right upto the end of production. Except as Jim has said on 1303/s models.

Thanks for the help guys.

Got the screen on and fitting a treat with cleco clips- it took 3 hours though!.... I'll just sweat when it comes to finally riveting it to a freshly painted body!!!!
